A 100+ Photo Look at Blizzard's Awesome Offices
The Irvine, CA campus where the single Rash teams work on Warcraft, StarCraft, and Diablo is pretty much Swot Heaven – and here are more than a one C photos from buttocks its gates.
Now I'm actually pretty favourable, myself. I've been to Blizzard – twice, no less! – but let's be ingenuous with ourselves: The company is pretty hoot uncommunicative. It's a shame, too, because some multiplication I've been fundament those big White Bill Gates, I've found myself mentation, "Geez, this station is freaking awful."
From the doodles on the whiteboards (with nerd references aplenty) and the massive depository library of books and games, to the museum filled with memorabilia of its various games and the statues of the characters within … Blizzard's HQ is nerd heaven. Entertainment Web has a compilation of over 100 photographs from about the Cyberspace of what the Blizzard offices look like, and they'Re a fun little glance at what goes on behind the doors of a giant PC developer. (So that's what's taking them so long to make Diablo Trey)
Some of the Sir Thomas More illustrious things: the art gallery, the crippled depository library, anything written on the whiteboards, and of course the WoW Condition Monitoring device, which shows where people are connecting to the game from all over the world (this was obviously appropriated during its foramen in China).
I don't want to think about what this assort of place costs, just it's non like there isn't a healthy revenue flow there. Not that the The Escapist's offices aren't awe-inspiring OR anything, but if I worked in a place like this, I might never get anything done. And then I would get fired. And I would atomic number 4 sad.
